Has anyone on here tried using a large 12v car starter motor for a 8cyl truck/SUV? It has high torque (needs to turn over 8 cylinders), can handle high Amps (300-400 cold cranking Amps every time you start your car), 2000-3000rpm at 12v. Dirt cheap on ebay used. The only difficult part would be getting a sprocket on the spline. Might require some welding.

theyre built for low duty cycle and massive torque, theyre built like garbage as cheap as possible internally.. so generally , without scifi level cooling they wont last.
